About Me

My journey into willow weaving began on a rainy day while watching a gardening programme, where I saw my very first willow sculpture, a beautifully crafted deer. I was instantly inspired by its natural elegance and artistry, and it wasn’t long before I booked myself onto a course to learn the craft.

As an artist, working with form and proportion has always come naturally to me, and I quickly fell in love with the creative possibilities of willow. There’s something incredibly satisfying about transforming simple natural materials into sculptural forms.

I now run willow weaving workshops at my home in Donington Le Heath, as well as at various locations across Leicestershire. Over the years I’ve had the pleasure of meeting so many wonderful people through these workshops. Many arrive saying “I’ll never be able to do that,” yet by the end of the day they leave with a sculpture they’re truly proud of.

Watching that transformation is one of the most rewarding parts of what I do.

Alongside my willow work, I am also an established artist specialising in commissioned pastel pet portraits, combining my love of animals with my passion for art.
